Acceptable Use Policy

1. The consent rule (the most important one)

You may only upload a photo of a face if you are that person, or you have that person's explicit consent to use their image with Hapto. You confirm this every time you upload. If you cannot say yes to that, do not upload the photo.

2. Absolutely prohibited

You must not use Hapto to upload, generate, or share:

• Images of any third party without their explicit consent.
• Public figures, celebrities, politicians, or other identifiable people you do not have consent for — including any attempt to depict them.
• Minors. No images of anyone under 18, in any context. We have zero tolerance for child sexual abuse material (CSAM); we block it, ban offenders, and report it to the authorities and relevant hotlines as required by law.
• Sexual, nude, or intimate content — no nudity, pornography, sexualisation, or "undress"/"nudify"-style use of anyone.
• Deepfakes or impersonation — content designed to deceive about a real person's identity, words, or actions, or to pass an AI image off as a genuine photograph.
• Non-consensual intimate imagery — strictly prohibited and, in many places, a crime.
• Harassment, defamation, hate, threats, or content that demeans or endangers a person or group.
• Fraud, scams, fake identities/documents, or anything illegal in the places you or your subjects are located.
• Infringing content that violates someone's intellectual-property or privacy rights.

3. Outputs are AI-generated — label them honestly

Every image Hapto produces is synthetic and AI-generated. You must not present an Output as an authentic, unaltered photograph or as an endorsement by any person. Where you share Outputs, disclose that they are AI-generated.

4. How we enforce this

We require a consent attestation at upload, apply automated and manual safety checks, and review reported content. We may refuse, block, or remove content and suspend or terminate accounts that breach this policy, with no refund for violating use. Where the law requires (for example CSAM), we report to the relevant authorities. Generations that are refused by our safety systems are not charged.

5. Report misuse

If you believe someone has used Hapto with your image without consent, or has otherwise broken this policy, contact us immediately at [email protected] and we will act quickly.
